Assisted Living and Memory Care Specialist
Sandra Wallace has an extensive career working with seniors, including her personal journey caring for her Mother who had dementia. She was the Executive Director for a national assisted living organization, and a marketing professional with a variety of senior living communities around the Bay Area. These included Independent Living, Assisted Living with Memory Care and specialty Alzheimer's and Dementia communities.
With this background working inside of communities, Sandra is well equipped to evaluate the level of care provided, socialization opportunities and staff training. These factors differentiate why Sandra is so valuable to families looking at Assisted Living as a care choice for their loved one. Her recommendations are focused on the specific situation of each client, including both physical and social requirements. Having communities pre-screened lets the family focus on how their senior would live in each setting. Sandra will also ask questions on the tours to make sure her clients get all of the information and answers that they need.
She remains a state licensed RCFE (Retirement Communities for the Elderly) administrator and is well versed with the standards and regulations for assisted living community operations.
Her work on behalf of seniors stems from her strong desire to help other families coping with the needs of their aging family members. Sandra started Insight Memory Care Choices in April 2009 to personally assist families in this process.
She is Vice President of the Northern Chapter of AAEPP, American Association of Elder Placement Professionals. Sandra is also the Managing Director of the Senior Round Table of San Mateo County.
